The Goleta Library will close on April 1st, 2025 for up to two years for structural renovations and updates. Last day of in-person services: Sunday, March 30, 2025. From March 7 on, services will be modified to accommodate the move and relocation. Please go to https://www.goletavalleylibrary.org/ for a full list. The temporary library site will be in the building at 6500 Hollister Avenue. It plans to re-open for services in early June at the start of the Summer Reading Program. During the closure programs will be presented at a variety of locations throughout Goleta. Find the full schedule at https://www.goletavalleylibrary.org/ The Friends' book sale will be much smaller, so The Friends are not accepting donations at this time. We will hold a large Book Sale on March 22-23 to clear out our inventory. Mark your calendars and stack your shelves! Who are The Friends?The Friends of the Goleta Valley Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer organization. We raise funds through membership dues, donations, a permanent book sale in the lobby of the library, and special events such as the yearly Signed and Rare Books Silent Auction.
